Just as God the Father of the Old Testament is still the same Father of the New Testament, the Spirit of God continues to move. In the Old Testament the Spirit of the Lord served to empower those whom God called for individual purposes. Though the Spirit appeared to be more selectively given in the Old Testament, the manner in which it was given does not differ from the New Testament. The Spirit of the living God falls upon those whom He calls, for each and every believer who bears the truth and the goodness of the Gospel. ​
